DESIGN REVIEWS, INSPECTIONS, TESTING & CERTIFICATION

• Conduct PDRs (Preliminary Design Reviews) and project reviews of Hydrogen infrastructure; during manufacture and assembly to ensure compliance with North American certification requirements
• Lead and oversee design reviews, testing and certification of Reformers and Electrolysers for global energy clients; France, Belgium, Italy, Norway, Germany, Sweden Japan, Canada & USA
• Test and provide North American Certifications (UL, ANSI, ASME, CSA, NFPA, ISO) for Compressors, Dispensers, Hydrogen Storage Systems, Station Infrastructure, Reformer’s, Electrolyser’s, Fuel Cells, Cooling Systems and Industrial Control Panels
• Approve and certify Electrical High Voltage equipment (up to 46KV) for major engineering, construction and equipment manufacturing firms – Canada, S. and Europe
• Inspect Fuel Fired equipment for compliance to Canadian Standards (natural gas & propane)
• Review designs and approve paint booths for electrical, ventilation and hazardous location compliance (Canada & S.)

COLLABORATION, REPRESENTATION & TECHNICAL GUIDANCE

• Consult and interface with labs (North America, Europe and Asia) on Enclosure, EMC, AST, Performance & Benchmark and Pressure & Thermal Shock/Aging Tests
• Attend and represent Intertek at international trade shows and technical forums (i.e. Beijing, Tokyo, Hannover, Calgary)
• Provide technical guidance on SOW (Scope of Work), cost estimating and compliance standards

INDUSTRY & COMMITTEE REPRESENTATION

• Voting Member - NFPA 2 Hydrogen Technologies Code Committee: represent manufacturing and certification bodies with respect to development and update of the hydrogen code
• Canadian Representative - ISO: provide input and direction pertaining to certification issues associated with Electrolysers and compressors
• Voting Member – CSA Hydrogen Standards
• Voting Member – Technical Committee, Biogas and Natural Gas

• Built new power optimization company from startup to $1MM in contracts annually, specializing in Energy Audits, SCM, Standards & Safety Programs and Quality Assessments

• Sourced, negotiated and secured agreements with major players in the energy sector; multiple high profile projects in Canada, U.S. and Asia

• Implemented ISO 9001:2008 program along with certification for clients which provided a structure for implementation of offer special inspection services

• Developed and implemented a new inspection agency for the company which was certified to administer full field evaluations and certifications of electrical equipment province-wide

• Developed and implemented TEMS (Total Energy Management Solution); part of a pilot project conducted by CETAC-West on behalf of Alberta Energy, Alberta Environment, Environment Canada, Western Economic Diversification and Natural Resources Canada

COMPLIANCE & COLLABORATION

• Interfaced with provincial and federal regulatory bodies; SCC (Standards Council of Canada), SCCA (Safety Codes Council of Alberta), OH&S (Occupational Health & Safety) and CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau)
• Maintained, updated and utilized comprehensive knowledge of electrical and welding safety codes (C22.1, C22.2, ASTM, ASME, NETA, NFPA, NEC, CSA W Series)
• Worked closely with major engineering firms on design and modifications of electrical/mechanical blueprints, As Built, P&IDs and structural drawings
• Defined, documented and administered KPIs/metrics criteria
• Wrote and documented over 400 quality procedures and ITPs (Inspection Test Plans)
